Assurant Health and Blue Cross offer 6 month and 12 month plans that are renewable. If you qualify, these plans go active 24 hours after the application is received.
Student Health Insurance
There are many options for student health insurance. You may want an affordable permanent plan. Blue Cross and Humana have put together plans specifically for young adults. The other option may be a short term plan for the summer. We offer plans through Assurant Health and Blue Cross that will go active 24 hours after receipt of the application and last for up to 6 months or 12 months, if you qualify. A main difference between Assurant Health and Blue Cross is the payment options. Assurant Health lets you pay monthly and Blue Cross requires payment up front for the entire term.
HSA
Health Savings Account qualified plans offer a single deductible for an individual or the whole family. You have the option for 100% coverage once the deductible has been met. The premiums are less because the client will pay out of pocket at the negotiated rate until the deductible has been met. There are certain tax benefits if you open up an HSA.
